Welcome to Middle Earth! Go to the Prancing Pony, have a pint, but beware the Happy Orcs who may make take advantage of your drunken state... This is where we have sent Hannah for a year and, since she has nothing better to do, she's sending us lots of photos.
This bridge enabled us to cross a rather deep ditch, therefore
making a painful tramp easier. It blended into the scenery quite well
I thought. I didn't think this bridge was necessary. This is because the ditch wasn't that wide or deep, and was easily jumpable. Though it wouldn't make the trail very accessible to old people.
This is one of many bridges at university. I like this particular bridge because it enables me and others to make a quick journey between either side of the building, which is very convenient when you are working and need a snack.
The Auckland Harbor Bridge. Like the Sydney Harbor bridge but not as good. My friends bungeed off it. Without it it would be hard to go from either side of the Harbor. You would need a boat. A special bridge. This bridges a sacred Maori water source. Rumour has it that this was the first water source found by the maori on New Zealand. Wow. It was a bit unsteady when walked across however. Chairs! These are chairs to sit on while waiting for the ferry. They are comfortable and also good for resting hot drinks on. - Hannah, Winter 05 (because of the whole being in the southern hemisphere thing) |
