I tried. I really tried. You have to give me credit for the trying. I promoted this thing to death. I handed out a gazillion (well, 200) flyers looking a lot like this one:
Were my efforts worthwhile? Let's just say that it's a good thing Emma was there or I'd have been doing the entire evenings research by myself. As it turned out, after 90 minutes of sitting in Joes we gave up on waiting for anyone to turn up and went and played pool instead. Which I lost. So Emma was very happy about the pool and I got to drink some beer...which Emma was also very happy about as it turns out she likes the taste of Stella (though it'd be nice if she could like a cheaper brand of lager instead).
Not quite the night I was expecting and I still haven't
gotten my pub crawl research done. Oh well, maybe next time.
