As most people seem to be aware, this is not the first time (not that
this year actually is a time) Captain Chair has taken part in
the Guild elections. What makes Cap unique in the campaign world is that
every single year he has delivered on what he promised.
In 2005, he promised to bring back Chair Club and get bridge-references
into 96.43% of lectures.
As shown by this website, Chair Club is now very well establised and
it's influence has spread around
the world. 96.43% of lectures was a tad optimistic, but he get manage
to get a bridge in at least 2 undergraduate lectures, and countless
seminars and conferences.

In 2006, he promised to get Guild funding for a Captain Chair TV series.
This promise was achieved before the campaign period had even ended.
The Guild funded a trip to Ironbridge
where a pliot Captain Chair movie was filmed (which used to be hosted
on the Guild server, and is now looking for an online home. Unfortunately
it doesn't upload to youtube properly).
