Captain Chair: The MovieThe Directors CutOk, ok, so technically there were four directors on this shoot and only one of them has sliced this edition together, but who cares? Due to the original cut and youtube having a bit of a disagreement, the only way to see this film previously was to download all 100-odd meg of it from the Guild. Then they wiped it from their server. Luckily, this coincided with me getting some new editing software, so after only a few hours work we had a new 'youtube happy' cut. Whilst sticking this edition together I discovered an extra bit of forgotten footage, a section of the fight scene I meant to include in the original, but kinda forgot about until it was too late. And sound! Yes, everyone's main complaint about the original has been sorted out (don't worry, I'll get right on with sorting a 'classic' silent cut soon. I'm no Lucas, I know people will always want to get hold of the 'proper' version). Sit back, relax, and enjoy...
Ride of the ChairsFilmed in and around the Guild at the end of February 07, this turned out far better than I thought it would as I walked home from the shoot. We encountered a number of problems maneuvering the chairs (a lot of the footage was filmed backwards, then reversed in editing), and could have done with an extra man or two (where were you Chris!) but I'm more than happy with the final result.
