I was in Toys R Us the other day (the Chester one, not the Brum one since it's now disappeared...presumably for being possibly the worst toy shop in the world ever). Whilst browsing the LEGO isle, I was surprised to find this new line:
At first glance, this range appears to be a collection of giant power loaders (you know, the queen-fighting things from Aliens). Compare... Anyway, before I begin ranting about how my model kit didn't come with any of the pipe thingies and so my model has never been completed, I shall move on as to why Chair Club is taking an interest in these things (apart from LEGO being probably the best toy ever and therefore not really needing an excuse to feature it). Toys R Us, in a cunning attempt to get me to purchase some more toys, had a selection of free comic books next to the display. Having nothing else to do whilst waiting for Emma to finish in the sewing shop next door, I started to read...
...you can see why I suddenly took an interest. Yep, this entire line of toys is about some humans and robots fighting over a bridge! Pretty cool, or what?! Even more cool is that the entire comic is online here, so I didn't even have to spend time scanning my comic in! Print screen and seconds later...
...presto! Not to spoil the story too much, but issue 0 ends on a cliffhanger, but luckily the chaps at LEGO have put another 9 issues online!
I would recommend that every Chair Club member rush out and buy the entire selection immediately! - Damian, May 06 |
